Happy Thursday everyone. As some of you may know… I’m in a new home now. It’s taken us a while to get to this point, but we’re finally here. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears has gone into getting our home ready, but I think it’s fair to say that it was definitely worth it. Some stuff still needs sorting out, but for the most part, everything has been done and set up nicely. One thing we haven’t done yet though is look for a security system, as we don’t really know the area, so we want to make sure that we are kept safe at all times. My mum keeps asking me, “when are you going to get an alarm for your home?” and I keep telling her that we haven’t forgotten about it, but we just have other pressing matters to sort out first. We need to get it sorted soon though, as she won’t stop nagging me until we do. Hopefully, it doesn’t take us too long to find one, as I think I will feel a lot better once we have one. But for now, we just want to sit back and look at what we have already achieved in our new home. We actually just celebrated our 1 month anniversary of being in our home. I can’t believe that it’s actually been an entire month. It hasn’t felt that long since I’ve been so busy. We had to move so much over, including our cars. I only found out afterwards I could have used CarsArrive Auto Relocation to help with that after a friend told me about their experience with them. Still, the busy times haven’t stopped, I have been flooded with work, traveling for my blog, and getting my new home decorated. I also had to concern myself with sourcing a cheap electricity plan for the new home as part of budgeting for the home’s utility bills. We have just started decorating our new home office and I cannot wait to share the results with you once it is finished! We have bought some gorgeous cabinets and a couple of cheap office desks to put our computer and printer on. It already looks so much more like an office I would love to spend time in. Anyway, I wanted to share with you a Spring tablescape that I envisioned even before I even moved into my home. I pretty much knew exactly what I wanted for a dining table right when we moved in. Jonathan and I had been doing a lot of research on furniture during the building process so the day after we closed escrow we went to purchase a few of the big pieces of furniture for our home. I focused on the big items first then I went to a variety of my favorite stores to purchase accent pieces. A few of my favorite stores are Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, World Market, Create & Barrel and of course Home Goods, they have the best deals there! I hope you like it as much as I do! All the items I bought are linked down below or you can click on the images to shop directly.
