The holidays are upon us and I couldn’t be more excited that Christmas is just a few weeks away. One my favorite things to do during Christmas time is to cook and be in the kitchen with my mom. We always create amazing desserts and dishes during the holiday season for our guest to enjoy. One of our favorite desserts to make is Peppermint Bark. It’s really easy to make and perfect for holiday parties, you can also send it home with guests in a tin for guests to enjoy after the party. This peppermint bark recipe is made with only 3 ingredients – good quality semi-sweet chocolate, white chocolate, candy canes. You can enhance the peppermint flavor by adding a 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract in the melted semi-sweet chocolate.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
- 12 ounces white chocolate
- 6 candy canes, crushed
Instructions
- Line parchment paper on a square cookie sheet.
- In a melting pot, melt semi-sweet chocolate. Pour over parchment paper covered baking sheet. Spread with spatula into an even layer and chill in freezer for 15-20 minutes.
- Melt white chocolate in a separate bowl and spread on top of cold semi-sweet chocolate. Immediately sprinkle crushed candy canes over chocolate. Refrigerate for 15 minutes; break into squares.
