Celebrating my baby girls first birthday was bittersweet. I still can’t believe it’s been an entire year since she’s been brought into this world. I could remember being in the hospital and rejecting cesarean over four times. Wow! How in the world did I manage to push out a nine pound baby? I still am in disbelief about that… but I was determined… and now she is here walking and running all around. We had an amazing birthday party celebrating with family and friends. I wish I can hit the pause button… but life continues to go on and my sweet baby Olivia keeps growing and learning every single day. Her mind is a sponge. She learns so quickly. She says dada, mama, nana, papa, wou wou, no no no! She knows her cabeza, she gives besitos, blows besitos. We are trying to teach her as much Spanish as possible so she learns it at a young age.
We wanted to celebrate her 1st Fiesta with a bang… So we went all out… Fiesta style.. We had swimming, a wet slide, piñatas, tacos, fruita, mariachis agua fresca, and an amazing dessert bar that my mom and aunt helped me with. Her birthday was amazing thanks to all the family who helped out and made it was it was. I sure can’t imagine doing it all alone. A special thank you to my dear mama who spent endless hours making a beautiful backdrop with handmade tissue paper flowers as well as going to each store to pick out every single item.
