Since baby Olivia is days away I thought I would share what I packed in her diaper bag for our stay at the hospital. I know that during our stay the hospital typically provides most baby basics but I wanted to pack a few extra little things to make my baby feel more comfortable. I also like having a few options in mind. Plus a cute outfit and headband will make the photos we take in the hospital that much cuter!
Going Home Outfit -I went with a eyelet onesie, some adorable newborn shoes and a cute headband.
Swaddling Blankets– I’m planning to use these to wrap her up, take some adorable newborn photos, and as a breastfeeding cover.
Hats -I have soft ones to keep her nice and warm.
Mittens -I likely won’t be able to trim her nails, so we’ll use mittens to hopefully prevent scratches.
Headbands -I packed a handful of these, okay I’m bringing 4; don’t judge me – they’re tiny and take up no space!
Basic onesies/pants or sleepers – I probably won’t use these, but I want the option in case the going-home outfit I have planned doesn’t work out or something.
Pacifiers– I’m not planning to immediately use a pacifier, but if I really end up needing one I got them just in case.
Extra Diapers & Wipes– Just in case we need extra I packed a few newborn diapers and some Pampers Sensitive Baby Wipes.
Burp Clothes– My mom used regular cloth diapers for myself & my siblings as burp clothes to burp the baby so I decided to do the same thing, she told me they are much easier to clean and I can bleach them since they tend to spit up on them.
Baby Grooming Kit– I wanted to bring this just in case I need to comb her hair or need any other grooming essentials.
Diaper Bag – I love this diaper bag because its so spacious and the print is so adorable.
