Every since I was young I always wanted my own vanity. You can blame the movie Now & Then and Thora Birch’s charatcer Teeny when she would sit in front of her vanity and day dream of becoming a star. Now I have my very own vanity and I love to make it look chic & pretty. I’ll be showing you how to beautify your vanity today with few items that you may already have!
Add ambiance with small touches
Vanities are not typically the largest areas to work with, I love to add a bouquet of flowers. I tend to lean towards smaller flowers that won’t overwhelm the space like the baby spay roses that are shown. They are the perfect size to add a little touch of nature to your table top.
Use a variety of decorative displays
Organizers are great to use to store makeup in drawers beneath your vanity. On top of your vanity you can choose items with more luxe, I like mirrored trays and pretty mint julep cups for makeup brush holders and pretty jewelry like my watch, a bracelet and ring. I also love mixing and assortment of pieces in different sizes and shapes to organize my beauty products. I love candles so I usually add a few to decorate my vanity. I recently bought a votive candle and it looks gorgeous on my dressing table. Plus, votive candle holders double as lip gloss holders! Be creative it’s your space to have fun with.
Be selective with what you show
You want to select items that are to anything from a pretty perfume bottle, lavish makeup compacts I love Chanel’s pretty and simple packing. You can even add in a few bottles of perfume. I love Essie’s little polish bottles.
