Olivia isn’t in school but I do pack her lunches to take her to day care when I go to work. My mom babysits her on the days that I go into work and I’ve found that if I pack her lunches I know what she’s eating, how much she has ate and I can be in control of what she’s consuming. I thought since it’s back to school season why not share some fun back to school lunch ideas. I found this great lunch box and snack & sandwich keepers set by Crocodile Creek, they are sold online or at your local Whole Foods Market. Crocodile Creek is such a fun brand they have a variety of items for your toddlers and kids to play. They have lunch boxes, back packs, block, bibs, drinking bottles, play puzzles and much more! It’s defiantly a brand that I love and I can use the play items to keep Olivia entertained while we are out having dinner.
One of the beverages I love to give Olivia is water. We are always drinking water but I spruce it up a bit with some strawberries and basil to infuse some added flavor and color to it. This is really yummy and Olivia loves drinking her infused waters. I’ve always told her how important it is to drink water when she can, as it will do wonders for her immune system. It’s much better than drinking fizzy drinks all of the time anyway. As we both love drinking water, my friend told me to think about looking into a water softener system that would allow me to purify our water so that it would give us additional benefits. She told me to have a look at these reviews from Water Filter Way, (https://waterfilterway.com/best-water-softener-reviews/) to find one that would best suit us. I haven’t had time to properly look into it yet as I spend most of my time trying to make sure that I give Olivia the best lunch possible. Another lunch item I love is PP&J since Olivia is highly allergic to nuts I can’t do a nut butter so I opt for a Jelly sandwich just the J and add some added fruit for extra crunch. Olivia loves her blueberries, so that’s the perfect choice for us a J&B (jelly and blueberry) sandwich. I use sandwich cutters to just our cute shapes and make it fun to eat her sandwich. If you have a picky eater this can be a fun trick to get your kids to eat better! Olivia loves fruit so I make sure to pack clementine’s, berries, and whatever fruit is in season at the time. She also loves her sweets so I pack her a gluten free cupcake or some type of yummy and healthy pastry.
